The wisdom-current continuum in mythic time is present in the primordial, is present NOW, and is present (already) in the time that moves towards us. The overlay of linear time, as constrained by the Gregorian calendar, onto mythic time is, thankfully, not possible. It is the endeavour of this project, however, to use the linear as a starting point in a symbolic cartography to remind us of the holiness of each day. This calendar includes sacred feasts and festivals and seasonal markings from various cosmologies. Given the diversity and infinity of ways to pray and to be devotional, the research needed to be selective. As such, the calendar’s embedded holy days are true, and also symbolic of the ceremonial ways of all humans throughout time and culture. We, in the human family, all have our beautiful origins, were/are all sewn to the land, our people, cultures and ancestors through ceremonial ways that align us to the sacred and the cosmos. It is my hope that when entering your dentist or car mechanic appointment and seeing that, for instance, that day is the Feast of Greek Goddess Aphrodite, a day to honor peace and compassion; or the Mayan Rain Festival honoring Rain God Chac; or Dia de Nanã, the day to honour the Grandmother of Primordial Mud in Candomblé Brazil, that your day would be infused with the reminder of how sacred a gift it is to be inside a body, inside a day.
